JWP worked closely with Christy Turlington's Every Mother Counts in the first-ever MAMAthon, a virtual event to highlight and celebrate those who have lent their voices, and in some instances their lives, to improving access to safe and equitable maternity care around the world. This includes maternal health advocates, policy and lawmakers, maternity care providers, beneficiaries, journalists and more.

It takes the power of a collective voice to create meaningful change in the world. Also true, the journey of motherhood and tackling the global maternal health crisis is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. In fact, it’s a MAMAthon!

Funds raised at the event supported Every Mother Counts' programs around the world that help improve access to safe, respectful, and equitable maternity care for every mother, everywhere.
